Methylcobalamin is a cobalamin (MeB12) used in peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy etc. It is a form of vitamin B12. It has been studied in conjunction with sleep-wake rhythm disorders, where it appears to yield benefits, but at a low or inconsistent level.[1]

It is used in vitamin B12 deficiency (pernicious anemia) treatment.

Availability

Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Bangladesh manufactures this drug under the trade name Methicol.

Cipla Ltd manufactures this drug in India under the trade name Mecovit.

Bosnalijek of Bosnia and Herzegovina manufactures this drug under the trade name Cobal.
