Clinical Affairs Manager Europe
Job Responsibilities:
In this challenging role you will manage and provide work instructions to Clinical Affairs department staff. You will formulate department budget and manage expenses to approved budget. You will develop strategic plans for department in line with the global framework. You will work closely with the Product Development Centers to develop flexible and innovative approaches to clinical study design and to gain clinical evidence for product support globally. You will also provide support to Marketing departments by provision of clinical expertise for sales force information, promotional literature creation and product labeling as needed. You will identify clinical investigators and assess suitability of study sites, recognize and maintain strong business relationships with key opinion leaders. You will also maintain contact with hospital IRBs as necessary to secure institutions as clinical study centers. You will lead the process to select CROs and establish the contract. You will also support investigators who wish to publish or present orally their experience with products under clinical investigation.
Candidate Requirements:
You have a degree in science or in the medical field. You also have at least five years work experience in a clinical research department or equivalent management or supervisory experience. Professional experience in project management practices and also with regulatory submission procedures (e.g. GCP, GLP, 510 (k) PMAA, IDE and reimbursement processes) is essential. You are fluent in English and German (oral and written). Your flexibility allows you to maintain effectiveness under changing circumstances and priorities. Tact, diplomacy, empathy, meticulous attention to detail and also a track record of delivering on commitments are also essential. You have knowledge of computer software (MS Office). Furthermore you have a willingness to travel 20-40%.
