Value Stream Manager
In this position you are responsible and accountable for the availability of the product according to budget and mid/long term planning, in compliance with the agreement of the accountable Business Manager. The Product will be of the correct quality/regulatory requirements, delivered on time and at the agreed cost while maintaining budgetary control. You are responsible for the continuous improvement on those prerequisites and your Value Stream organization.
Your tasks:
• Responsible and accountable for the availability of products according to agreed quality, volume, delivery time, cost and regulatory requirements while maintaining budgetary control.
• Develop and agree on the production plan in collaboration with the Business Manager and global supply chain functions. Production plan includes integrated Sales & Operations planning (volume and delivery times), quality levels and product cost.
• Accountable for the generation of KPI's which clearly measure the Value Stream and the timely reporting through a balanced scorecard system of results within the organisation. Ensure that all members of the Value Stream fully understand and are aligned with the metrics being used and that the performance measures are being continuously monitored to ensure the trends are in line with the company's expectations.
• Responsible and accountable that the employees in his/her organization work according to cGMP, safety, health and environmental requirements as laid out in the companies policies and procedures as well as all relevant external/governmental guidance.
• Responsible and accountable for driving continuous improvement and lean concepts of the Value Stream through processes, systems and people in order to lower costs and decrease waste. Ensure collaboration with other Value Stream managers to ensure best practices are being shared across the organization.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the products by actively participating in development programs; provide all necessary input to the Budget, LRP and LE processes in a timely and efficient manner
• Enabling and driving the change and full integration from the current organization to the Value Stream organization (according to signed ‘Healthy Ambition’ implementation plan) by decentralizing and thereby including activities, responsibilities and accountabilities as much as possible to Value Stream organization such as: Planning and Supply Chain, QA (dotted line basis) activities, maintenance activities.
• Build a highly skilled, highly regarded and highly motivated customer focused team.
• Maintain and stimulate organizational development within the Value Stream by performing regular job performance assessments for all direct reports in order to maximize the individuals’ potential, promote this behaviour throughout the Value Stream as well as stimulate talent search and coaching within the Value Stream organization.
Requirements
Your qualifications:
• University degree (masters or higher) in chemical engineering, bio-chemistry or an equal biotechnical/pharmaceutical oriented studies. Alternatively a financial/MBA university degree in combination with proven interest in biotechnological/pharmaceutical manufacturing techniques.
• More than 5 years experience in the integrated biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
• Managerial experience with groups of more than 5 persons will be seen as an asset.
• Experience in lean/ Six Sigma concepts will be seen as an asset.
