04-30-2009: Linde North America and Shell Oil Company have executed a long-term contract for Linde to supply hydrogen for Shell’s Deer Park, Texas, complex. The hydrogen will be used primarily for the production of clean-burning transportation fuels at Deer Park Refining Company, a 50:50 joint venture of Shell and PMI Norteamerica S.A. de C.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
Linde will invest in excess of $50 million to supply hydrogen through a pipeline network connected to its facilities in the Houston Ship Channel. The supply will commence in mid-2010.
