ECKART concentrates its production of aluminum pastes in Germany

09-09-2009: ALTANA's ECKART Effect Pigments division strengthens its main factory in the Franconian town of Güntersthal (Bavaria) and its site in Wackersdorf by relocating the production of aluminum pastes from its Italian site in Rivanazzano to the two German production sites. In order to establish the necessary production line, ECKART will invest a mid-single-digit million Euro amount. In total, about 1,200 people are employed at the company's site in Güntersthal, which is the largest site of the ALTANA Group. The production facilities of the Rivanazzano plant will be closed, about 60 employees are affected. A sales office will remain at Rivanazzano to take care of ECKART's customers in Italy.
