BASF presents chemical specialties at "ChemSpec Europe 2002"
BASF intermediates are used for the production of pharmaceuticals, crop protection agents, resins, plastics, fibers, adhesives and dyes. Additionally, they are utilized as process chemicals in the manufacture and finishing of pigments, textiles, leather and paper. "New business development" of BASF is constantly looking for opportunities to expand the product portfolio according to market demands and special customer requirements.
A visit to the BASF booth is a good opportunity to become familiar with BASF technologies and their use for manufacturing tailor-made intermediates.
In the focus of the extensive range of intermediates presented by BASF this year again is its growing portfolio of optically active amines, alcohols and acids, which are marketed under the ChiProsTM brand.Besides new products, such as 2- and 4-hydroxyacetophenone and methanesulfonic acid, for the first time inorganic specialties like boron halides, alcoholates and hydroxylamine are presented in more detail at the ChemSpec.
