Ashland announces resin and gelcoat price increase for EMEA

01-08-2010: Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., is increasing the price of its complete portfolio of resins and gelcoats produced and sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) by €130 per ton effective immediately, or at the earliest possible time depending on individual customer contracts.

This price increase is primarily driven by the recent rise in the cost of styrene, and a tightened supply of glycols due to higher demand for de-icing products across Europe.
