Dow Corning Wins China’s Top Employer Award

20-Jan-2011 - China

Dow Corning has won China’s Top Employer award for 2011, according to the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF), an independent organization that identifies top-performing companies in areas of human resources.

The CRF International Top Employer Award is an annual certification program that was brought to China in 2006. The prize was presented to Dow Corning China at a ceremony on January 18 in Shanghai.

Dow Corning received the honor based on CRF’s assessment of the company’s performance in five key standards: Pay & Benefits, Training & Development, Career Development, Working Conditions, and Company Culture. More than 450 companies took part in the selection process. Dow Corning also won the award in 2009.

“Dow Corning believes that a company and its staff are most effective when they are working as a team rather than as individuals,” said Jeremy Burks, Dow Corning's Greater China president. “Our leaders and managers care very much about the welfare of our employees. We treat our staff as partners, offering them an inspiring work environment which offers work-life balance, transparent communication, and cross-cultural exchanges. These are a central part of the way we operate.” Burks added.
