Veolia’s MPPE water treatment unit for Shell Floating LNG plant

VWS MPP Systems has been awarded a contract by Samsung to supply a Macro Porous Polymer Extraction (MPPE) water purification unit for a Floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility.

MPPE unit will be used for Shell’s Prelude FLNG project in Australia, the largest offshore floating facility ever build in the world.

The MPPE unit will be used for Shell’s Prelude FLNG project in Australia, the largest offshore floating facility ever built in the world (488 meters long, 74 meters wide).

During the production of natural gas, formation and dehydration water is co-produced containing dissolved and dispersed aromatic, aliphatic and polyaromatic hydrocarbons. Veolia’s MPPE water treatment technology helps to achieve Shell’s environmental objectives.
