Greiner Bio-One BioScience, a division of Greiner Bio-One International AG, has developed into an international leading technology partner for universities, research institutes, and the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Despite the weak dollar, Greiner Bio-One BioScience, together with its sister company Preanalytics, was able to generate total sales revenues of EUR184.5 million in 2004. This represents an increase of 12.2 percent over the previous year. This significant performance reflects the successful efforts of its international sales and distribution network which ensures that its advanced solutions product programme is now available in nearly every country in the world.

As a result, customers from the diagnostic, academic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors profit from the newest technological developments and the highest quality standards at Greiner Bio-One BioScience as well as from short product delivery times. Through subsidiaries and independent local distributors in all of the world's important marketplaces, Greiner Bio-One BioScience remains close to its customers to provide a flexible service and optimal solutions for modern laboratory applications. In addition, the internationally-geared competence network of Greiner Bio-One BioScience ensures, via development partnerships and corporate participations, the high standard of new developments. Through 2005 the BioScience division will continue to concentrate its efforts on a further expansion of its technology leadership, especially in the fields of cellular and tissue culture technology, high-throughput screening and biochips. During the second half of 2005 the company anticipates the introduction onto the market of a newly developed DNA-chip.
