Antioxidant Price Increases at Chemtura

16-Sep-2005 - USA

Chemtura and its subsidiary company, Great Lakes Chemical, announce price increases for antioxidants, effective October 1, 2005.

The increases on a broad range of antioxidants are a result of sustained increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs; and to meet baseline profitability and an anticipated need for additional investment required to sustain these businesses.

In the main solid antioxidant categories, phenolic antioxidants will see an increase of 18%. In the solid phosphite product line, Alkanox 240 (offered by Great Lakes) pricing is being increased 5% and Ultranox 646 (offered by Chemtura) pricing will be increased 19%. Antioxidant blends will be increased 12% and NDB blends will see increases pro rata based upon composition.

With respect to other antioxidants, price changes will be as follows: Anox IC-14 and 330, Lowinox GP 45, Lowinox DLTDP and DSTDP will be increased 4.5%. Lowinox 1790, 22IB46, AH 25, MD24, TBM6 and WSP will be increased 9%. Anox 29 and 1315, Emulsion L, Flexamine grade EL-17 and Naugard grade EL 17, Super Q, Ultra Q, and Naugard 445 will be increased by 11%.

In both product categories, certain customers who require high service costs or whose current pricing is below comparable pricing, may see higher increases. Customers with questions should please contact their account representative.
