11-04-2005: Effective October 31, 2005, Brenntag, global leader in the growth market for the distribution of chemicals, has aquired 100% of the outstanding shares of Quadra Chemicals Inc., distributor of industrial and specialty chemicals in the USA. The company was founded in 1991 and grew significantly as a national distributor with 90 million US$ in annual sales. The Canadian business, Quadra Chemicals Ltd. is not part of the transaction.

Clark, CEO Brenntag North America, Inc. and Member of the Executive Board of Brenntag Group: "The addition of Quadra to Brenntag North America will significantly improve our overall presence in the Pacific Northwest and strongly complements our growing U.S. participation in the food, pharmaceutical, energy, rubber and pulp & paper markets." Quadra Chemicals, Inc. operates mainly in the Pacific region but also has business in Alaska and throughout the rest of the U.S.
