Competition Committee approve the agreement between Galenica and Unione Farmaceutica
09-06-2006: On 7 July 2006 Galenica informed about the decision to strengthen its cooperation with the pharmaceutical wholesaler Unione Farmaceutica Distribuzione SA, based in the canton of Tessin, and to increase its participation in Unione from the current 20% to 73%.
This agreement required the examination of the Swiss Competition Committee. The Commission judged these intentions to be unobjectionable and approved the deal without provisos. The transaction can now be implemented.
