Sartorius Receives "Excellent Supplier Award" from PPG Industries

For Excellence in Product Quality and Delivery Reliability

05-28-2008: PPG Industries has awarded their "Excellent Supplier Award 2007" to Sartorius AG for its exceptional quality, service and delivery. The Goettingen-based company met all the criteria of a rating system PPG uses to evaluate their suppliers, winning high grades in categories like product quality, delivery reliability, service and responsiveness. This placed Sartorius at the top of the rankings along with another seven out of PPG's 16,000 suppliers. At the awards ceremony set on Lake Geneva, Dr. Bodo Krebs, Senior Vice President Operations of the Sartorius Mechatronics Division, and Christian Voggel, Global Sales Manager Segment Paint Mixing Scales, accepted the trophy, made of PPG glass, from PPG's Director Gilles Le Gall.

Le Gall lauded the outstanding service Sartorius provided over the past year. Its consistently high product quality and reliable delivery has allowed PPG "to adjust safety stocks and delivery schedules to significantly reduce our working capital." This has helped give PPG a significant competitive advantage.

Since 2004, Sartorius has been supplying electronic paint-mixing scales to the automotive refinish business of this worldwide leading manufacturer of paints, coatings, chemicals and glass. PPG uses these Sartorius products to accurately control the formulation weighing and reproducibility of paints and coatings.
