The ISOSORP-Hygra is an economic gravimetric measuring instrument to study adsorption and absorption processes. Measurements in a pressure range between vacuum and 200 bars at sample temperatures between 77 K…770 K can be performed automatically with gases, vapours and supercritical fluids.
The high resolution gravimetric measurement is based on the patented magnetic suspension balance of Rubotherm and has an excellent accuracy and stability. It allows to measure equilibrium uptake data and kinetics.
The standard ISOSORP-HyGrA is an ideal tool to characterize hydrogen- and methane storage processes. Due to its universal setup it can be also used for adsorption- and desorption processes with other gases.
In addition to the gas measurements of the standard HyGrA the ISOSORP-HyGrA+V is designed to measure with vapours. It is equipped with a vapour pressure cell to perform measurements with water vapour or organic vapours. A heating system prevents condensation on all parts that are in contact with the vapour.
A special feature of the Hygra series is the ISOSORP-HyGrA SC. It offers not only the process parameters of the standard HyGrA but it enables the user to measure with supercritical fluids, such as supercritical CO2. For this, the dosing system is homogeneously thermostated to a fluid-specific supercritical temperature and it can optionally be equipped with a gas compressor.
