SGE, the pre-eminent manufacturer of analytical syringes has released the world’s first fully automated analytical syringe: eVol^®.

Combining an analytical syringe with a digital drive and control facility has created a cutting edge handheld analytical syringe that drives laboratory efficiency, precision and accuracy to new levels.

The programmable digital drive means liquid handling procedures are user-independent allowing more efficient workflow scheduling and a reduction in the re-analysis of incorrectly processed or false positive samples.

Key benefits are:

Dispense from 200 nL up to 500 µL with just 4 different syringes that can be changed in seconds via SGE’s unique XCHANGE^®coupling system avoiding cross contamination between reagents.
eVol^® features a familiar touch wheel interface and a full color screen.
The easy to follow menu allows all the functions to be accessed logically and quickly.
The programming functions are intuitive and include help screens and prompts.
eVol^® is easily calibrated to comply with stringent laboratory standards e.g. GLP, GMP, FDA to ensure accurate dispensing at all times.
User-independent calibrations can be applied to up to 20 different syringes and are completed through a simple gravimetric method.
Write Protect and Password Protect options suitable for Pharmaceutical Industry use and customers with GLP or other regulatory requirements
A new slow aspirate and dispense “time moved” capability especially useful for titrations and reaction rate control.
Color coded syringes for an easy syringe capacity identification”
Custom programming function enabling MEPS™ (micro SPE) to be semi-automated
Available as a specific configuration for NMR applications

Typical applications for eVol^® include preparation of calibration standards, addition of internal standards, precise dispensing of non-aqueous liquids, and sample dilution.
