Precellys^®24: Disruption and lysis of even toughest samples within seconds

At first glance a centrifuge – at second glance a bead beater– on closer inspection a premium class, high energy homogeniser.

The Precellys^® system enables sample grinding through sample contact with highly accelerated glass, ceramic or steel beads in 0.5, 2.0 or 7.0 ml screw cap tubes.

The Precellys^®24 system can process up to 24 samples per run with samples exposed to a powerful three dimensional figure 8 bead movement. This contrasts to conventional 2-D bead beaters enabling effective and total sample homogenisation through the reduction of dead space inside the tube.

By selecting glass, ceramic or steel beads along with total control over vibration speed, duration and vibration repetition the process is both highly reproducible and fully optimised with perfect grinding results for a variety of biological samples or non-biological materials. With vibration speeds of up to 6800 rpm the Precellys^® homogeniser offers extremely high lysis energies, accessing even hard to grind sample types.

Compared to other bead beaters the Precellys^® homogenisers are a delight to handle. With their patented 'Press 'n Block' system, loading and unloading of samples is quick, easy and totally screw or catch free. Tubes are self contained and preloaded avoiding any chance of cross contamination.
