Pall’s new single-use TFF system is the latest addition to the Allegro range of integrated single-use bioprocessing solutions. It combines the advantages of Allegro single-use manifolds with an engineered automated system design, providing reliable control of key parameters and ease-of-use in manufacture.
Adopting a single-use approach for TFF can provide reductions in system preparation, cleaning time and costs, validation time and costs, downtime in the production area as well as risks of batch or cross contamination. The system has 1/2-inch tubing and a feed pump capacity of 1000 L/hour. It can be run with a 20 L or 100 L feed biocontainer, and run in fed batch mode for processing larger volumes.
The single-use manifolds are supplied gamma-irradiated, with pre-calibrated single-use instruments. This feature, combined with innovative design for the hardware and the manifolds, guarantees simple installation and de-installation.
