SeQuant^® ZIC^®-cHILIC is a completely zwitterionic stationary phase with a densely bonded phosphorylcholine functional group with perfect 1:1 charge balance. Due to these unique characteristics, the new columns display favorably weak electrostatic interactions (attraction and repulsion) resulting in the optimal retention and selectivity of polar hydrophilic compounds. They also enable tuning and optimization of the separation at low buffer concentrations in the mobile phase, without interfering with detection techniques, such as mass spectrometry (MS).
