The FIA system is an automated analytical system for photometric determinations in laboratories performing water and environmental analysis using standardized analytical procedures. Due to its modular setup it can be customized to meet the specific requirements of the lab.
FIA modula is designed for the parallel determination of several different parameters (up to 8). The methods available are permanently installed on the modules. In this way the system is optimally suited to high workloads.
FIA compact is designed for the sequential determination of analytical parameters. Method change is made easy by means of completely equipped method units.
There is even a Universal Method Unit combining the basic parameters of water analysis (NH4, NO2, NO3, o PO4). The analytical module of the FIA compact analyzer has two independent multichannel pumps enabling the integration of complex sample preparation steps like digestion, enrichment, and high-sensitivity dialysis.
FIA modula and FIA compact can be joined.
Because of the measuring principle the FIA system can already be used effectively at low sample loads. Characteristic Features are:
Available parameters: Ammonium, Nitrate / Nitrite, Orthophosphate, Total Nitrogen, Total Phosphorus, Total Cyanide, Weak-acid dissociable Cyanide, Phenolindex, Anion Tensides (MBAS), Silicate, Iron (II) / Total Iron, Total Aluminium, Magnesium , Sulfate / Sulfide, Chloride, Chromium (VI)
The FIAcompact Cyanid-Analyzer determines cyanide in water, eluates, and soil extracts acc. to DIN EN ISO 14403. All units required to set the cyanide selectively free from its forms are integrated (UV and / or thermal treatment for weak-acid dissociable and total cyanide). Interferences are largely removed by automated membrane transfer of the hydrogen cyanide generated.
As the membrane transfer is performed with stopped acceptor liquid enrichment takes place allowing very high sensitivity to be reached. Reagent consumption is minimized by the pump configuration and the detection is pyridine-free.
