Foreign data are reviewed regarding the corrosion of rolled sheet made of 32 different low-carbon steels in the atmosphere. Sheet and structures with an experimental span structure are made from 14XΓHДЦ steel. After 20 years, a protective film of corrosion products is formed, and corrosion practically stops. The thickness of the rolled steel is reduced by less than 0.1 mm.
