Quality Controlling with GUS-OS Labor: process and batch-oriented
Workflow-based LIMS controls inspections and approvals reliably
by GUS Deutschland GmbHGUS-OS Labor is a very flexible laboratory system thanks to the integration of a workflow. Complex flows of the quality control process are easy to manage and quick to adapt to various needs with this solution. The software, which is equipped with a modern, ergonomic browser interface, is suitable both for use on a single computer as well as for decentralized laboratories networked via intranet and extranet.
Typical laboratory functions such as the inspection of incoming goods, the execution of quality control during production, and the final checking of the finished products are supported. The quality controls are batch-oriented.
Industry-specific settings optimize GUS-OS Labor for the pharmaceutical, fine and special chemical, food and luxury food, as well as the cosmetics industries. GUS-OS Labor works completely process-oriented. Thanks to the integrated workflow manager, even complex processes with parallel quality inspections in individual laboratory areas can be mapped. Building on this, the software generates ToDo lists and assigns these to various user groups. These activities lists allow direct access to the function to be carried out with a mouse click.
Data management
GUS-OS Labor manages supply sources, users, and inspection equipment reliably. With the inspection equipment management, it is possible to assign calibrations including the calibration periods as well as maximum decay times for reagents, for example. This way, a pre-warning list for the monitoring of inspection equipment can be called up dynamically.
Inspections
The solution stores inspection specifications in inspection methods. These can be combined into material specifications according to the toolbox principle and all of the main data can be managed with approval mechanisms using version management. In GUS-OS Labor, the user can also change the inspection specifications for individual batches. GUS-OS Labor stores deviations from the regular flow, which attract attention during batch inspection, in the anomaly database.
Sample-taking
The sample-taking controls the sample-taking plan stored in the specifications according to the defined sample-taking algorithms and parameters. Here, reference samples are taken into account in the sample-taking.
Measurement value recording
A recording of the measurement values takes place optionally with reference to the inspection plan or the sample. With respect to these measurement values, analysis reports and external certificates can be printed out. The solution calculates required statistical values automatically.
In addition to the integrated methods, GUS-OS Labor also allows the use of external measurement programs.
