readyLIMS^® is a high-performance, immediately ready to operate laboratory information management system able to process the entire range of daily laboratory tasks efficiently and reliably, from resources to be used to the graphical presentation. readyLIMS^® offers a comprehensive range of configuration options for your individual requirements.

This applies to system settings (sample numbering, releases, reports etc.) as well as to layout settings (icons, skins, navigation tree, ribbon etc.) With the help of web services, the system can easily be incorporated into existing infrastructure and data exchange with external systems can be realized.

Easy operation
readyLIMS^® is equipped with a web-enabled client with an individual graphical user interface (GUI). This solution combines the best of both worlds, the easy operation of a classical Windows application and the simplified access to the own database or connected devices.

Multilingualism and standards
There are no language barriers for scientific work – therefore readyLIMS^® was designed to be used in an international environment. Several users can work in the same system using different languages. Navigation tree, menus, tabs and other controls are then displayed in the desired language. In the development of readyLIMS^® the requirements in terms of I18N (Internationalization) and L10N (Localization) have also been taken into account so that preconditions to localize the system in accordance with our customers’ requirements are fulfilled.

Architecture and structure
readyLIMS^® follows the multi-tier-architecture principle. The logical separation of individual tiers significantly reduces maintenance costs and ensures a high-level horizontal and vertical scalability of the system.

readyLIMS^®  consists of the following three tiers:

Presentation tier (client tier):

• for the presentation of data, user inputs and user interfaces
• located on the user’s workstation

Logic tier (server tier):

• bundles the application logic
• contains all essential processing mechanisms

Data storage tier (data server tier)

• for saving and retrieving data

Extensions and further developments of functionalities are realized with the help of an external report tool, web services and upgrades.

Administration, service and support
Where possible, maintenance and administration efforts are minimized. It is already evident during the installation process: readyLIMS^®  is simply installed by setup – done. Use your LIMS immediately. Extensions or restrictions in the scope of functionalities can be easily realized via the exchange of license files, without having to install the program again. Regular updates and continuous optimizations guarantee a high-performance operation of readyLIMS^®. Even if some questions still remain open, the competent staff of the readyLIMS^® hotline is available at all times.
