Gems & Gemology
Gems & Gemology is a quarterly scientific journal published by the Gemological Institute of America. Articles are geared toward the technical and scientific members of the gemological profession. The first issue was published in January, 1934.
Gems & Gemology is part of the Thompson Web of Knowledge database; its impact factor is 1.381 (2006).[1].
Issues contain research articles by leading gemologists, lab reports from the GIA Laboratory, international gemology news, book reviews and summaries of relevant scientific articles published elsewhere.
