Biotage is the 4th fastest growing technology company in Europe

Uppsala. The auditing company Deloitte has ranked Swedens and Europes fastest growing technology company 1999-2003. Biotage was placed number one in Sweden a month ago, and number four in Europe with a growth of 13,156 percent.
To be the fourth fastest growing technology company in Europe is an acknowledgement of the successful products we have launched during these years. It is mainly the products for genetic analysis (Pyrosequencing) that have generated the high growth. Only during the first two years, the turnover increased by approximately 8,300 percent, from 1.3 MSEK to108 MSEK. The technology and the products, foremost suitable for diagnostic applications, are expected to generate a significant growth in a few years, as diagnostic applications based on our technology will be available. Then, hopefully we can reappear high on this ranking, says Jeff Bork, President and CEO of Biotage AB.
