Focus on sustainability - Linde affirms commitment to corporate responsibility
Corporate Responsibility Report 2005 published

25 Oct 2005 - With its Corporate Responsibility Report 2005 published, Linde has for the first time provided a Group-wide account of its commitment to the four strategic areas of action: the Environment, Human Resources, Society, and the Capital Market. From now on, the Corporate Responsibility Report will be an integral component of yearly reporting, alongside the Annual Report and interim reports.

"As a global player, we can only achieve success if our profit-oriented action is balanced by the cornerstones of sustainable management - that means environmental protection and social commitment," confirmed Prof. Wolfgang Reitzle, President and CEO of Linde AG. "Over the past few months we have reinforced this commitment to coporate responsibility, making it a fundamental component of our corporate strategy and culture."

Environmental protection is the focus of this first report. Under the title "Taking a stand. Our positions on sustainability", Linde presents itself as a responsible Company in several global locations, illustrating by means of concrete examples how Linde technology helps to reduce the strain on the environment, and what measures are being taken to combine customer benefit and sustainability as early as the product development stage.

The key tasks underlying this first Corporate Responsibility Report also include the web-based compilation of key figures Group-wide, the adoption of a Corporate Responsibility Policy, and the introduction of a code of conduct for employees.
