Velsicol Chemical Corporation announces appointment of Ross H. McMillan as President

Velsicol Chemical Corporation announced the appointment of Ross H. McMillan as President, effective immediately.
McMillan has spent the past 30 years as a successful, results-oriented executive in the global chemicals and plastics industries. He was most recently Global Chief Executive Officer of BBA Fiberweb. As CEO, McMillan led the company to multi-year profit improvements and led efforts in joint venture projects in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
From 1995 to 2001, McMillan was Regional President/Chief Executive Officer of Lucite International in Memphis, Tenn., formerly ICI Acrylics, a division of ICI Plc. From 1985 to 1995, McMillan was General Manager of ICI Polyurethanes, Sterling Heights, Mich., where he turned the specialty urethane chemicals company into a highly profitable operation within four years.
McMillan graduated from Lehigh University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and pre-med sciences. He is also involved in a number of community-based philanthropic and non-profit boards and has been an active participant in Habitat for Humanity.
McMillan succeeds Arthur R. Sigel, President of Velsicol. Sigel will continue in a non-executive role for six months. Sigel will also serve on a continuing basis as a member of the Board of Directors.
