Taminco reaches agreement with Akzo Nobel

29 Jun 2007 - Taminco has signed an agreement with Akzo Nobel to acquire its majority share of their Joint Venture in China for the production of choline chloride liquid and choline chloride on carrier at Yixing. Akzo Nobel and Taminco expect the share purchase to be completed by the end of June.

"This transaction is an important step in the growth of our feed additive activities in China as part of our Life Science business unit. The production and sales activities out of Yixing are very complementary to our own production at Fengxian (China) and will allow us to further develop our outstanding quality focus within this market segment" says Taminco's CEO, Pol Vanderhaeghen. He continues: "This new step confirms our commitment to both the feed additive market and to Taminco's strategic presence in this region. We welcome our new colleagues at Yixing into Taminco's dynamic team".
