Temporary Surcharge on Chemtura Organotin Stabilizers

28 Aug 2007 - Effective September 1, 2007, or as contract terms permit, Chemtura Corporation will implement a global temporary surcharge of $0.04-$0.22/lb on all organotin stabilizers.

According to the company, this action is required to capture the significant cost increase resulting from unprecedented inflation in world wide tin metal markets. This inflation can not be fully absorbed, despite aggressive cost reduction measures taken by Chemtura, and has not been fully recovered by previously implemented price increases. Chemtura continues to closely monitor the world wide tin market, and may make adjustment to this temporary surcharge as market conditions dictate.
