Degussa GmbH to Increase Prices for Pigment Blacks from September 15, 2007

31 Aug 2007 - RAG Subsidiary Degussa GmbH is announcing price increases of between 6% and 10% for pigment blacks, depending on the product or the region. The increased prices will come into effect for deliveries on September 15, 2007.
 
According to the company, following a long phase in which only a part of the increased costs of oil were passed on to customers, the company can no longer offset other increases in costs through cost-saving measures alone. Significantly increased expenditure on wages, transport, and energy, as well as additional costs incurred for compliance with environmental and statutory requirements, have compelled Degussa to adjust prices.
