Clariant Strengthens Oil Services Business in Colombia11 Oct 2007 -
Clariant, announced the acquisition of Toschem, a supplier of chemicals and services to the Oil & Gas and Industrial Water Treatment markets in Colombia. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the deal. In addition, Clariant has further invested in a new site at Cota-Bogota in order to combine and therefore manage more effectively the existing office, laboratory and production facilities of Clariant in Colombia.
"We are now in the position to provide improved logistics and technical solutions for our oil and gas customers in the strategic market of Colombia", said Phil Havard, head of Clariant Oil Services.
