Rohm and Haas to Increase Prices for Paint Binders and Additives Sold in Europe, Turkey, Russia and the Middle East

18 Mar 2008 - Rohm and Haas Company announced a general price increase for binders and additives sold to the architectural coatings, industrial coatings, traffic paint, floor care, and construction and building products industries in Europe, Turkey, Russia, and the Middle East. The increase of 5 percent will be effective April 15th, 2008, or as contracts allow.
 
Cheryl A. Martin, Vice President and General Manager, Paint and Coatings Materials for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said, "We are seeing continued escalation in our raw material and service costs, which include energy costs and those processes that are significantly influenced by energy costs such as freight. We remain committed to bringing high quality, innovative products and technology to our customers, but we cannot absorb all of these costs, so we must now pass a portion of these increases along to our customers in the form of product price increases."
