Uhde wins new contract for a clean fuels production plant

16 Jul 2008 - Petrom S.A. of Romania has commissioned Uhde to build a gasoline desulphurisation plant at their refinery located in Brazi, some 50km north of Bucharest. This clean fuels plant is scheduled to come on-stream in early 2009 with an annual capacity of 700,000 tonnes of low-sulphur gasoline.
 
The contract is worth some EUR90 million to Uhde and includes comprehensive engineering services, supply of the equipment, construction, commissioning support and facilitating training of the operating personnel. The Petrom plant will be based on a process licensed from AXENS, a French technology supplier.
