Evonik Increases Prices for Fumed Silica , Titanium Dioxide and Mixed Oxides

01 Aug 2008 - Effective September 1, 2008, Evonik is increasing the prices of its fumed silica, titanium dioxide and mixed oxides (AEROSIL® and AEROXIDE®) products worldwide. Prices will increase by 8 percent on average depending on the product and region.
 
According to the company, due to continued increases in the costs of raw materials, energy and logistics, Evonik is no longer able to absorb these huge cost escalations and must pass on part of the increases to the market. This is necessary to secure the high quality standard of the products, optimum service, and technical support.
 
Evonik will continue to monitor this situation and will make adjustments when necessary.
