INEOS NOVA increases prices for all Polystyrene products

04 Aug 2008 - INEOS NOVA announced that prices for all Polystyrene products in Europe will increase by +75 Euro per ton effective from August 1st, 2008. According to the company, INEOS NOVA needs to restore an acceptable margin on its business as the cost of raw materials and utilities has increased significantly over the last months.

As announced previously, the premium for High Impact Polystyrene grade (HIPS) will also increase to a minimum +70 Eur over General Purpose Polystyrene grades (GPPS). Unfortunately, prices for Butadiene rubber have risen sharply in the last eighteen months. INEOS NOVA has absorbed these additional costs for as long as possible, and needs to restore an acceptable margin for products where Butadiene Rubber is a necessary raw material.
