BASF Coatings site in Russia certified

11 Sep 2008 - The Pavlovskij Posad site in Russia is a new important hub of BASF Coatings’ worldwide production network. Now, the site has received black-and-white confirmation of its standards for quality. It meets the automotive industry’s high standards for quality for suppliers with regard to products and processes in every respect. This was the conclusion of neutral auditors after they intensively tested the site over a period of several days. The Pavlovskij Posad site thus passed the DQS audit to test conformity with automotive standard TS 1694949.
 
According to the company, BASF Coatings is the only international paint manufacturer with its own production facility in Russia. "There’s no question that this is yet another important step for the qualifications of the site,” said Dr. Andreas Kunze, head of Quality Management at BASF Coatings and its Automotive OEM Coatings unit for Europe.
