Kao Chemicals Europe signs agreement to sell part of fatty amine derivatives business in Europe to CECA

12 Jan 2009 - Kao Chemicals Europe, S.L. has signed an agreement to sell its quaternized dialkyl-amines used in the manufacture of organophilic clays business in Europe to CECA, an Arkema subsidiary.

 
"This transaction of quaternized dialkyl-amines, used in the manufacture of organophilic clays, is part of our product portfolio restructuring, thus driving us to focus on our core market activities, in line with our strategy : profitable growth”, explained Dr.Kobayashi, president and CEO of Kao Chemicals Europe.
 
Unions and employee representative bodies have been informed and consultation procedures will begin shortly, where applicable.
