Unique Software Tools for Time-Saving in the Laboratory

ChromSword Auto Version 3.5
The unique ChromSword® Auto software performs completely automatic HPLC method development and optimization within hours. Even existing methods can be optimized, considerably reducing analysis time. After some initial input, ChromSword® Auto predicts method conditions and controls the connected VWR-Hitachi LaChrom Elite®, Agilent or Waters HPLC system in order to generate the necessary chromatograms; these are then analyzed by the software to find the final optimum conditions. The rapid optimization mode provides an overview of the chromatographic performance of the column/solvent system selected while the detailed optimization mode generates and analyzes more data to predict and execute a number of alternative final optimum conditions. Both modes can be applied in combination with column and solvent switching procedures in order to try out a variety of column/solvent combinations completely automatically. Both in method development and routine analysis, ChromSword® Auto can realize substantial time savings and improvements in method performance.

AutoRobust
For newly developed or existing methods, robustness studies should be carried out in order to assess the tolerance limits for small deviations from method parameters. These tolerance limits should be described in the method SOP. AutoRobust software allows easy programming of the required experimental matrix and is able to carry out robustness studies for HPLC methods completely automatically. AutoRobust software controls the VWR-Hitachi LaChrom Elite®, Agilent or Waters HPLC systems and generates the chromatograms within the desired small variation ranges of the HPLC conditions. The chromatograms can easily be viewed and a robustness test report is generated automatically. Thus method robustness studies can be completed within a few hours completely automatically.

Validation Manager Version 2.0
The Validation Manager checks whether your analytical method is suitable for the intended use and automatically produces a validation report. Only a few questions must first be answered in a “wizard” dialog; the validation plan is then created at the push of a button. The system then shows you immediately how many samples have to be prepared and how many injections must be performed to calculate the method characteristics. Even the autosampler injection tables for EZChrom Elite® are created automatically and are immediately available for data acquisition. From the data generated, the required method characteristics are automatically calculated and statistically checked according to reliable and acknowledged procedures. After entering your comments and decisions, the method validation report is created with only a mouse click. Your virtual Validation Manager can save you days or even weeks of validation work for any analytical technique.

UncertaintyManager Version 2.0
In order to be able to evaluate analytical results properly, one has to know the degree of uncertainty involved. Therefore, measurement uncertainty of analytical results is a parameter that is becoming more and more important, especially in accredited laboratories. The UncertaintyManager® is a new software tool for the rapid determination of the measurement uncertainty of analytical results according to international standards Eurachem / CITAC Guide "Quantifying Uncertainty in Analytical Measurement" and "ISO Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement" (GUM). The software, based on a substantial database, comprises numerous functions that facilitate data entry, enable critical parameters to be visualized, calculate the measurement uncertainty and compile a suitable report. The UncertaintyManager® software allows measurement uncertainty to be calculated within very short time while taking into account the complete analytical procedure.

Auto Validation
The Auto Validation software is a new tool for performing Operational Qualification (OQ) of the LaChrom Elite® system automatically. After entering the HPLC system configuration, the parameters to be tested, the test criteria to be fulfilled, the test equipment to be applied and putting the LiChroTest® samples into the autosampler rack, the system test is started. When all tests have been completed, a comprehensive OQ test report is created automatically. This software helps to substantially reduce time expenditure for equipment qualification and to standardize the OQ testing procedure.
