HAMILTONīs New PRP-h5 HPLC-Columns: Specially Designed for Oligonucleotide and Protein Separations New generation of high resolution HPLC columns for fast separations
|
HAMILTONīs newly developed reversed phase HPLC columns deliver separations of a wide variety of analytes under the most extreme analytical conditions.
The highly cross-linked poly(styrene-co-divenylbenzene)polymer provides the necessary mechanical stability to withstand most solvents while delivering excellent resolution and superior performance run after run. Virtually any organic solvent and mobile phase additive can be employed to optimise analyte separation. Therefore even harsh solvents such as 1 molar sodium hydroxide can be used to wash contaminants from the column.
The new PRP-h5 HPLC columns are particularly suitable for the purification of oligonucleotides. The cost-per-run is dramatically reduced. The desired oligonucleotide elutes with less acetonitrile because the PRP-h5 packing material is less hydrophobic than the packing material of traditional polymeric columns. The stronger hydrophilic backbone of HAMILTONs PRP-h5 HPLC columns virtually eliminates non specific binding of oligonucleotides to maximise recovery and minimise carry-over contamination from the previous injection.
The outstanding pH stability (pH 0-14) completes the exceptional features of the new PRP-h5 HPLC columns from HAMILTON.
