Bio21 Institute of Molecular Science and Biotechnology, University of Melbourne



Bio21 is a research centre at the University of Melbourne, Australia. It is located on Flemington Road, Parkville, Victoria. The centre focuses on the study of pure and applied biotechnological sciences. It is an initiative intended to promote interdiciplinary learning and houses biochemistry, cell biology, some chemistry, and other life science professors and students. Recently the large Australian pharmaceuticals company CSL has joined the Bio21 consortium, furthering research to industry links in the biological sciences.
