Thermo Finnigan Introduces the TRACE DSQ – Your Essential Lab Partner
Using a new curved pre-filter, the TRACE DSQ significantly reduces neutral noise, providing enhanced detection at low femtogram levels and increased dynamic range. The pre-filter also prevents contamination of the quadrupole assembly, eliminating the need to clean or replace the quadrupole filter. For fast chromatography, scan speeds of 10,000 amu/sec are possible – the industry’s fastest scanning capability by a single quadrupole system. More data points help define very narrow peaks for precise and accurate quantitation.
Three pump configurations provide expanded capabilities and flexibility for a variety of applications: a 70 L/sec turbomolecular pump for EI/MS applications, a 250 L/sec turbomolecular pump for the addition of chemical ionization or solids probes, and a 200/200 Split Flow pump for ultimate performance with differential pumping. Upgrades to vacuum interlock, chemical ionization, solids probes and PPINICI – pulsed positive ion / negative ion chemical ionization – are available.
The standard EI/MS system on the TRACE DSQ includes advanced mixed scan mode capabilities for simultaneous SIM and full scan analysis. This feature provides the enhanced sensitivity of SIM, with the added confidence of full-scan fingerprints. Powerful Xcalibur® software provides complete control of the GC-MS system, while application-specific software such as Open AccessTM, XaminerTM and Mass FrontierTM allow advanced data analysis capabilities.
