Air Products Announces Price Increase for North American Liquid/Bulk Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon and Hydrogen Customers

03-Dec-2002

Effective January 1, 2003, or as contracts permit, Air Products and chemicals, Inc. will increase schedule pricing on liquid/bulk oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen by six percent and argon by fifteen percent for merchant and government customers in North America.

The pricing initiatives are needed to address cost increases associated with the production and distribution of merchant products while allowing Air Products to maintain its high standard of customer service and supply.

The company will continue to put monthly service charges - associated with costs incurred to install, start-up and maintain tanks at customer locations - to schedule.

Air Products will also continue its ongoing regional surcharge efforts where appropriate which are necessary to recover the extraordinary increases in raw material costs it is experiencing.
