Wiley InterScience Launches the Wiley Database of Polymer Properties

05-Aug-2003
Wiley InterScience announced the launch of the Wiley Database of Polymer Properties. Based on the Polymer Handbook, 4th Edition, edited by J. Brandrup, E.H. Immergut, E.A. Grulke, A. Abe, and D.R. Bloch, the new database is the single most comprehensive source of physical property data for polymers commercially available, with experimentally determined and selected data for more than 2,500 polymers. The Polymer Handbook is widely known as the essential print reference for every polymer scientist's laboratory (the "bible" of polymer physical data). By migrating the traditional print product to an electronic product, Wiley InterScience now offers an enhanced product with valuable search features that allow scientists to: - Search data by polymer name, as well as by property values and by full text. - Create custom tables for a specific polymer. This feature queries across the entire database to gather the physical constants from various tables into one location. Tables may be viewed, printed, downloaded into other programs, or saved for future use. - Access abstracts or full-text html for the primary literature via CrossRef in future updates.
