Kemira has further expanded its presence in North America by
acquiring the United States based coagulant producer Eaglebrook International Group, Ltd. Eaglebrook is one of the leading manufacturers of
iron and
aluminium based coagulants in North America. Eaglebrook's net
sales amount to approximately USD 65 million.
Eaglebrook International Group, Ltd. supplies a full range of
iron and
aluminium coagulants to waste
water and potable
water markets in North America, which further strengthens Kemira´s core competences in the
water treatment business in North America. Eaglebrook's range of coagulant products consists of iron products, aluminium products, polyaluminium chloride products,
sodium aluminate products and
polymers. The company
headquarters are in Matteson, Illinois and there are several other facilities in both the United States i.e. Schererville (IN), Euclid (OH), Pearlington (MS), Edgemoor (DE) and in
Canada in Brantford (ON), Ottawa (ON), and Varennes (QU).

The acquisition of Eaglebrook International Group, Ltd. is carried out through Kemiron Companies, Inc., which is a 60% owned subsidiary of Kemira. Kemiron ranks as a leading producer and marketer of iron and aluminium coagulants in the United States. Kemiron's net sales amount to approximately USD 100 million.
