LANXESS increases prices for rubber chemicals

07-Jun-2007

As of June 15, 2007, Lanxess will globally increase its prices for rubber chemicals by between 100 and 220 euros or 150 and 300 US dollars per metric ton. Affected by these adjustments will be the product groups antioxidants (Vulkanox), antiozonants (Vulkazon), plasticizers (Vulkanol) and zinc oxides produced by the Rubber Chemicals business unit. The reasons for the price rises are the continued high cost of the raw materials and the increase in energy prices.

Rubber Chemicals from LANXESS are primarily used in the automotive segment in the tire, hose, profile and drive train industries as well as in non-automotive segments such as the latex industry.
