KCL and Honeywell Industrial Safety

Since 2008, KCL belongs to Honeywell. In 2011, with Honeywell Safety Products (HSP), an organization has been created which offers the most comprehensive PPE portfolio from head to toe from one provider – including leading brands in occupational safety like Honeywell (former brands Sperian and North), KCL, Miller, Howard Leight and Otter. Since 2016, the new business unit Honeywell Industrial Safety also includes Gas Detection business.

With the protective gloves software ChemPro®Plus (former KCL Chemical Manager) we provide a tool that enables every company to select the correct protective glove for every application. The database contains 15.000 chemicals and mixtures and is available as desktop software.

KCL has not only been an expert in developing basic glove plans for many years, but also offers complete Protective Glove Concepts – a comprehensive service package for protecting the hands of your employees: After a comprehensive risk assessment by one of our consultants on site, in addition to the glove plans we create a full documentation with detailed information on the chemicals and the appropriate protective gloves. The results are recorded in detailed test reports and provided to the customer within the Protective Glove Concept. This Concept also functions as proof regarding the Working Conditions Act, including also support in training, motivation and wearing acceptance.

Today, the so-called PPE Concept not only includes protective gloves but also chemical protective clothing and further PPE from head to toe.

This comprehensive conceptual approach enables our customers to provide appropriate protective gloves any time at any working place and increase worker’s safety as well as not least realize financial and organizational savings. Companies which implement a KCL Protective Glove Concept also are provided access to our ChemPro® database with over 300.000 hazardous substances. For chemicals not yet included, the KCL laboratory supports in finding the most appropriate protective glove.
