Auf dem Weg zu einer rationale Synthese von Kohlenstoffnanoröhren – Herstellung des ersten aromatischen Nanogürtels

Einfach mal den Gürtel enger schnallen: Der erste aromatische Nanogürtel wurde von Itami und Mitarbeitern synthetisiert. Diese Herstellung eines abgeschnittenen Vögtle‐Gürtels ist ein Meilenstein in den langjährigen Bemühungen vieler Chemiker. Die Realisierung eines solchen Moleküls eröffnet nicht nur vielseitige Möglichkeiten in den Materialwissenschaften, sondern rückt auch eine rationale Synthese einer Kohlenstoffnanoröhre in greifbare Nähe.
