para‐Xylene Ultra‐selective Zeolite MFI Membranes Fabricated from Nanosheet Monolayers at the Air–Water Interface

Hochselektive MFI‐Membranen können ausgehend von nanoskopischen Monoschichten hergestellt werden. M. Tsapatsis et al. beschreiben in ihrer Zuschrift (DOI: 10.1002/ange.201708835) eine neue Methode, mit welcher der Transfer einer einheitlichen dichten MFI‐Monoschicht von einer Luft‐Wasser‐Grenzfläche auf einen porösen Träger gelingt. Die dichte Nanoschicht wirkt als Wachstumskeim für eine ausgerichtete dünne Membran mit geringer Defektdichte, die Xylol‐Isomere hoch selektiv zu trennen vermag.
