Electroflotocoagulation treatment of drainage waters of the solid waste landfill

The process of electroflotocoagulation treatment of drainage waters from Kiev’s municipal solid waste landfill No. 5 was investigated. Unsuitability of ferrous anodes and promising results for aluminum ones to produce a coagulant were shown. To reduce aluminum consumption it is proposed to carry out acid pre-coagulation of the initial wastewater.
