Si‐H‐Bindungsaktivierung: Parallelen der Lewis‐Säure‐Katalyse mit Brookharts Iridium(III)‐Pincerkomplex und B(C6F5)3

Anders und doch fast gleich: Die verblüffenden Gemeinsamkeiten von Brookharts Iridium(III)‐Pincerkomplex und dem elektronenarmen Tris(pentafluorphenyl)boran in Reaktionen über Si‐H‐Bindungsaktivierung werden vorgestellt. Die Koordinierung der Si‐H‐Bindung an eine der beiden Lewis‐Säuren steigert die Elektrophilie des Siliciumatoms und macht damit dessen Übertragung auf verschiedene Lewis‐Basen möglich (siehe Schema; Do=Aceton).
